Program Description:
Iceland: Sustainable Tourism Practices in Iceland: Balancing Growth and Conservation

Credits: 4 Credits (BUS 3025) Spring Semester course with travel in Greece
Instructors: Kristen Keane (Assistant Professor of Business) and J Steffe (Instructor of Business and Outdoor Leadership)

Travel Dates: Two weeks in May following Commencement

 

This course examines Iceland's globally recognized approach to sustainable tourism. Students will explore the balance between environmental conservation and the demands of a rapidly growing tourism industry. The course combines pre-departure academic preparation, immersive on-site experiences in Iceland, and reflective activities, fostering an interdisciplinary understanding of global tourism challenges and solutions.

Application Fee: $75.00
Course Fee: $2,100* + airfare (est. $800-$1100)

*(Limited amounts of need-based financial aid available)

GPA Requirement: 2.5 minimum
