Program Description:
ISEP
New to Warren Wilson's study abroad exchange partnerships is ISEP. ISEP a non-profit leader in the international education field dedicated to helping students overcome financial and academic barriers to study abroad. In partnership with over 300 member institutions in more than 50 countries, students are placed at one of the many member universities where they are enrolled alongside local students. ISEP is a strong fit for any student from any major. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

If you are interested in applying for an ISEP program, you should meet with Anna Welton in Ransom House the semester before you wish to apply (two semesters before you wish to travel!). First you will apply directly to ISEP, and then you will complete a Warren Wilson application to study abroad. When you apply to ISEP you will rank between 5 and 10 partner schools where you would like to study. ISEP will then place you at one of the choices you selected.

WHEN?
Students become eligible to study abroad second semester of their sophomore year (meaning you would apply first semester of sophomore year). More commonly students will choose to study abroad during fall or spring semester of their junior year. The application deadline for spring semester is September 15th and the application deadline for fall semester is February 15th. Please start working with Anna on your application well before that deadline so that all of your materials are prepared in advance! Keep in mind, you will need a faculty recommendation in order to apply, as well as an official copy of your transcript (and you should request these at least four weeks before the application deadline!).

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
If you choose to study through an ISEP exchange program, you will pay costs exactly as though you are here on campus for the given semester or year, and you will receive your typical aid package including both institutional scholarships and federal aid. That includes full tuition scholarships for students on Milepost One or NC Free! There will be a few additional fees to plan for, should you participate in an ISEP program. Here is an overview of all the fees you will pay for that given semester:

Outbound ISEP student fees 2019-20

$18,300  FT tuition (or whatever portion you pay after financial aid is applied, as normal)

$232 Comp + $150 Tech fees (as normal)

$5,650 Room & Board* + $103 NC meal plan tax (or whatever portion you pay after financial aid is applied, as normal)

$260 Orientation fee

$1,246 WWC health insurance (unless waived)

Mandatory ISEP insurance ($90 per month paid directly to ISEP)

$100  ISEP application fee (paid directly to ISEP)

$325  ISEP placement fee (paid directly to ISEP)

$450  WWC study abroad administration fee

In order to assist with these fees you will receive a $1000 stipend from the international office to reimburse some of these program fees + airfare
